Chocolate makes everything better. This Snicker’s Brownie Cake proves that even on a rainy day there is some sunshine. I didn’t change a thing about it. The recipe is perfect as it stands. It might be the meringue you fold into the chocolate that makes this so heavenly, or the chocolate and butter melted into one beautiful bowl, or the 10 Snicker’s fun bars you sprinkle on the top . Any one of these could put this over the top, but together it is a masterpiece to enjoy. Put this at the top of your list to make during the holidays to impress your chocolate loving friends. You will not hear the end of it. It is without a doubt the best brownie I have ever had.

I have subscriptions to five food magazines. I love to read them, but I get so distracted with all the great recipes that it sometimes drives me to a complete halt. I mean I can’t make a decision about what to cook for the coming weeks. I must have some kind of ADHD. I do the same thing if I am shopping for clothes in a very large department store. I can’t make a decision. So I have resisted subscribing to more food magazines to decrease the confusion in my life. A few months ago I received a copy of Martha Stewart’s Living magazine. Knowing that I had not ordered it I checked the label and this is what I read, “Wanda The Food Blogger Lupo.” It made me laugh. My good friend Neil gave me a subscription to this beautiful magazine for me to enjoy. Now everytime I receive it in the mail I smile!
I really don’t know why these are called brownies. They are more like blonde brownies than the normal chocolate brownies. And not even those for heaven sake. They are full of butterscotch and marshmallows. But you will never know the marshmallows are there. Enough about the name. I know you don’t really care about that. It is the taste that you care about and you are going to love this little bar cookie. It is just the perfect size to indulge in without feeling guilty unless you are like some I know and just keep indulging until half the pan is gone. They are easy to make. In fact they are too easy. Trying to use up the bag of marshmallows in my pantry I have made them 5 times. Yes that is correct 5 times. I love the recipe because you can whip them together in one pan in 10 minutes. Bake them for 20 minutes. Then comes the hard part. Cooling. You need a couple of hours for this. They are really soft when they come out of the oven. You could just eat them right out of the pan with a spoon but try to restrain yourself because they are more attractive cut into little bars.
