I just love this recipe! It’s made with pizza dough. Now who is not going to like it ? Right? It can be made ahead and frozen. I use my made from scratch pizza dough recipe, but you can use frozen dough or buy dough from your local pizzeria. Any way these are really special!
I googled the recipe to see if I would be lucky enough to find it because I cannot remember where I got the recipe. I’ve been using it for years. There are plenty of recipes that are similar to this one. Most of them make a huge amount using 3 pounds of pizza dough. I cannot imagine making that many rolls. WOW! In fact this recipe could make 16 rolls which is the perfect size. I usually make 8 rolls because I’m just too lazy! Continue reading →

Here I am back again with a boatload of recipes for you! School is in full swing and everyday I am bombarded by the question when are we cooking? I hate it that we can’t cook everyday, but there are Standards to be covered and all that other stuff the state requires. I am excited about this year’s angels that have been given to me to broaden their knowledge about my love of cooking. I have a plan to teach them 30 dishes that everyone should know when they leave home and endeavor life on their own. I am excited especially when I hear a student talking to a friend and saying to them that I am a cool teacher. It really makes my day because there are times that I have some self doubt. You know every once in a while you just want to know if they really care about what you are doing. I had a lot of fun doing this recipe from Pillsbury. There are so many students that want to help me in the kitchen! For this first demonstration of the year I had some great volunteers. Surprisingly none of the four had any cooking experience, but they did great! I am looking forward to another fabulous year with rewarding cooking experiences to share along the way.

For the past three weeks I have received these beautiful frozen blueberries in my CSA box. They have been sitting in my freezer calling out to be included in some recipe. Now these are not blueberries that you will find in the frozen section of the grocery now or fresh ones that you might find shipped to us from across the sea. These are gargantuan blueberries from this past summer right here in my area of Georgia. We are talking beautiful blueberries, so these muffins were just perfect for them. They will be great to take to work or eat on the way to the gym before working out. And they are fabulous because I just have eaten one. WOW! Continue reading →

With the Super Bowl coming up next weekend it gave me a good excuse to try out these pinwheels that have been sitting in my recipe file for years. I don’t know why I haven’t tried them before. You can make them ahead of time and then when guests come pull them out of the refrigerator and bake. Serve them right out of the oven for a fantastic addition to any get together. As a bonus they are easy and delicious.
